Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using Lantern Intelligence, you agree to these terms. If you use Lantern for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on its behalf. A signed order form or enterprise agreement takes priority over these terms.

Your account

Keep your login details safe and tell us about any unauthorized use. Seats are for named users and may not be shared.

Lawful use

You must have legal authority to upload and process any evidence, including material obtained by warrant, subpoena, or court order. You are responsible for following the laws, policies, and court rules that apply to that material.

Your data

You own the files you upload and the results generated from them. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you.

AI results

Lantern's summaries, timelines, links, and recommended next steps are investigative aids, not legal advice or proof. Verify important findings against the source material before relying on them.

Plans, credits and payment

Paid plans are billed per user per year. Included credits are used for processing; extra credits can be bought at any time. Free accounts include 5 one-time credits. On-prem deployments include a one-time setup fee set out in your order.

Availability

We work to keep Lantern available and secure, but the service is provided as is, without guarantees beyond those in your signed agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending service

You can stop using Lantern at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. On request we will return or delete your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
